With that said, our seeds are a favorite for many gardeners and we hope to be a part of your gardening experience, whether you are a master gardener or new to the joy of growing your own food.

Tatume or Mexican Squash Sugar Baby Watermelon
This is a vining summer type bearing firm, green, fine flavored fruits. The round fruit is medium to dark green with faint stripes. These are very vigorous hardy vines with an excellent production of fruit. The squash is sweet and delicious baked or steamed. Harvest the fruit when it is about the size of a baseball for best flavor. Left to mature, it can be cooked like a winter squash. When used as a winter squash, the tough skin makes it a good keeper. 52 days.

This is a very popular small and sweet watermelon. Each melon averages about 6 pounds. The dark red flesh has a remarkably sweet flavor and excellent texture. This variety is also heat resistant, making it ideal for desert gardens. It only weighs about six pounds and is a classic “ice box” watermelon.

This heirloom variety was first introduced in England, coming to the US in 1908. This variety is noted for its exceptional quality and sweetness. The 18-30 inch plants produce a high yield of 3-4 inch pods that are very easy to shell. These peas do well when grown in hot weather. 62 days This most popular variety produces tall green tops with round, smooth, dark red, medium sized bulbs. The beets store well and are good for canning and freezing. They are the standard for beets; solid roots with excellent flavor. 60 days.

White Icicle Radish Oregon Sugar Pod Snow Peas
This beautiful white radish produces roots up to 5 inches long. The young roots are sweet and tender and the flavor becomes stronger as they age. This variety holds its quality well even in hot weather. A circle of white radishes may be planted around the base of young squash plants to deter the squash vine borer. This classic variety produces an abundance of delicious, sweet pea pods that grow on vigorous vines that can reach three feet tall. The pods are 4-5 inches long and about 3/4 inch wide. Resistant to pea enation virus, common wilt and powdery mildew, these are hardy prolific producers of sweet delicious pea pods. 60 days.
