Planting Information
The leaves of this plant are called cilantro, the seeds are called coriander. Grown in spring, this herb is often slow to germinate so keep it warm and moist. The plant has slender, erect stems with divided leaves. The leaves are particularly popular in the Southwest as an important ingredient in salsa and sauces. The bushy plant grows about 2 feet tall. It is one of the most ancient herbs used for flavoring and seasoning. This plant enjoys dry, warm climates. (Annual)

Cilantro/Coriander
(Annual) - Needs only moderately fertilized soil to do well. Seeds germinate in darkness. Plant outside in drills 1/2" deep in rows 9" apart. Does not transplant well. Prefers light, warm and dry soil. Tucson Planting Information: plant seed in spring and keep moist while germinating. Fall planting is also possible but cilantro likes warm weather.
