RAISED BED PLANTING GUIDE: After thinning,
plants should be 6" apart throughout bed.
SOIL TYPE RECOMMENDED: does well in most
soil. Prefers well drained sandy soil or clay loams.
HARVEST: To extend harvest time, pick lower
leaves before they are full sized, tough and woody.
TUCSON PLANTING INFORMATION: Collards do
well in Tucson with a fairly long harvest period.
