12-24" apart
DISTANCE BETWEEN ROWS: 28-36" apart
RAISED BED PLANTING GUIDE: After thinning,
plants should be 18" apart throughout bed.
SOIL TYPE RECOMMENDED: composted, well
drained soil.
NOTE: seeds may be started indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Seedling transplants should
be 4-5" tall. New heads will
form if 2-3 bottom leaves are left when the first head is harvested.
TUCSON PLANTING INFORMATION: Cabbage does extremely
well in Tucson. Plant January 1 to February 15 and again from August 1 to
December 1.
