Radishes are a versatile and easily grown vegetable that can be planted in any garden. The Latin name for radish is "raphanos" meaning easily reared. Radishes need low amounts of nutrients but require and ample water supply to produce quickly. Most radish varieties are very hardy. Radishes are resistant to light frost and hot weather, though they can become very hot in flavor in the Tucson summers.
All our Radish packets contain at least 5 grams of seed. That's more than 400 seeds per packet. These packets are large enough for succession plantings throughout the season. Radish seed can also be saved for two or three years without much loss of germination.
