Endive produces an excellent crop of peppery tasting salad greens. The plant is particularly beautiful with its large curled leaves and light green colored center. Best planted in the fall; heat makes endive bitter. Endive prefers cool weather and can withstand a light frost. Packet size: 1 gram, approximately 500 seeds.
