Kohlrabi, a member of the cabbage family, produces bulbs above ground that are most often steamed and used as a hot vegetable. The taste is similar to cabbage but is more delicate and delicious. Young bulbs are most tender while older bulbs become woody and bitter. Baby kohlrabi is very popular and very expensive in gourmet groceries.
Each packet contains 2 grams or about 500 seeds. Save these seeds for consecutive plantings. Stored in a cool, dry place, the seeds are viable for at least 3 years. Share this unusual vegetable with friends; they will thank you.
